Teacher's Bio
Sandy was born in Enid, Oklahoma, and to quote her “immediately became property of the department of defense”, graduated from Robinson Secondary School in Fairfax, Va, earned her Baccalaureate of Music at UNT, Master of Music at Southeastern Louisiana, and is currently pursuing DMA work at OU.
She’s currently adjunct faculty at Cameron University in addition to teaching at Phillips Music Education Center. She has been teaching ‘since before Petrucci invented the movable music printing press.’
In her words – “I have entirely too many favorites to even begin to limit the possibilities, but some diverse options are Mozart, Beatles, Depeche Mode, Ella Fitzgerald, Renalta Tibaldi, Guillaume de Machaut and Rush. Just to name a few.”
“When not doing music, I love Jesus, my family, my dogs, and binging true crime documentaries.”
